Baie keer hoor ons dat daar na die allerhoogste verwys word as die
Koning van die Konings.
Nou waar kom die gesegte vandaan en, is dit Godlastering om na God te
verwys as sulks. Na so 'n bietjie navorsing kry ek toe volgende in die
Bybel wat vir my bewyse lewer dat dit wel Godlastering mag wees:
Revelation 19:11
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat
upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth
judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;
and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is
called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should
smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he
treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF
KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud
voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and
gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Vrae:
A)Gewoonlik as daar die Godlikheid verwys word word dit geskryf met 'n
hoofletter. Maar, wie sit op die perd en hoe is dit geskryf?
B)"The Word of God" is dit God of 'n afgevaardigde op die perd?
C)"KING OF KINGS" en "LORD OF LORDS" verwys dit na 'n Godlikheid en hoe
word dit bewys en gestaaf?
D)"KING OF KINGS" en "LORD OF LORDS" verwys dit hier eerder dat die
ruiter op die perd die reg het om te oordeel?
E) "supper of the great God" Hoekom sou die ruiter dan die uitrukking
gebruik het soos dit geskryf staan as om eerder te verwys na "KING OF
KINGS"?
Miskien dit net Christus (die seun van God) wat so genoem mag word want
in:
1 Timothy 6:13
13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things,
and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good
confession;
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the
appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only
Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
