Hierdie storie vlek maar net weer die ou probleem oop en dit is myns insiens
dat die mens die blaam op die gereedskap en nie op homself plaas nie. As
'n moordenaar wil moor, sal hy dit doen met wat ookal tot sy beskikking is.
Klip, mens, vuurwapen, watookal. Deur streng vuurwapenbeheer toe te pas,
vat jy die wetsgehoorsames vas en wat bereik jy eintlik? Hierdie mense
gaan in elk geval nie die wapens gebruik vir misdaad nie. Dat daar minder
wapens gesteel word uit private huise en so in die hande van die misdadigers
val? Stront. Die misdadiger het sy doel en hy sal 'n vuurwapen kry
wanneer hy dit nodig het. Deur minder vuurwapens in 'ordentlike' hande toe
te laat, beweeg hulle die magsewewig eenvoudig net oor na die misdadigers se
kant toe!

Stem 100% saam met jou hieroor. Interesant ook dat in lande waar die
regering die wapen uit die publiek se hande gedwing het, dit kort daarna in
'n mense slagting ontaard het.
